I am working on a simulation which consists of hot air flowing through a porous solid. I need to find the transient temperature of the porous solid. However, the porous medium option only shows up when I select gas physics model for the region (the porous option disappears if solid physics model is selected). The temperature scene that is available only seems to show the temperature of the air (or average of the solid+air ?).
Is there a way to find the temperature of only solid part in Star CCM+? |

This is an old post perhaps you figured something out by now, if you use only 1 region you will only get an average temperature, you set the porosity value (fluid/total) and you give the solid properties but you will only see one temperature.
Perhaps you can read about heat exchanger models, dual stream, there is some idea with fluid/solid heat exchanger or having 2 regions, 2 physics continuum and exchanging heat with a volume heat source, |
