Recently I used Star CCM+ to simulate wave generation with paddle wavemaker, however, it seems that all the amplitude of waves generated were smaller than it should have been. Besides, the numerical dissipation was so large that along the whole tank, amplitude of waves are increasingly decreased.
I am confusing where I did incorrectly. Here is the simulation scheme: Mesh: generation part: Morphing mesh - motion - roll motion to the paddle propagation part: normal structural mesh with interfaces between two parts Physical condition: k-omega turbulence LFS |
