I am trying to find the bulk velocity of fluid through a tube bundle. To do this I want to start by taking a creating a line probe perpendicular to the flow, then for each cell along this line taking the cell height x velocity through cell (then averaging across line later).
Can anyone help? Firstly to position the line probe in such a way that each point is in the cell centre, and then to plot the corresponding velocity across this line. I have to do this for three different coarse meshes. |

First, unless you specify otherwise any probe point in a cell will return the cell centered value.
Second, I think there is probably an easier way to get this using derived parts and mass flow averaged velocity report. |
