Flapping motion simulation

Dear All;

I am going to perform pitching-plunging airfoil using StarCCm.

1- Can I use rotation and translation of whole domain (one domain) or no, I have to create two zones, one overset and the other back domain and moving overset one? Does anybody have compared these two methods?

2- Using either of these two methods, how can I record motion of airfoil? When activating DFBI module, all kinematics of motion are available, but with rotation or translation how to access that?
