Hello Star CCM+ users...

Does anyone know how to perform a roll decay/roll motion simulation of a vessel/ship?

I have my igs file of a ship. But I need to know the steps in performing the simulation?

Can anyone kindly help me out?

Many Thanks!

Have you looked at the tutorials in the user guide? There are several for boats and other floating objects.

yes I did went to look at the tutorials.

However, I've come across certain problems.

1) When I click the run simulation, they said that my volume have not been mesh. Please run the mesh pipeline. How do I do that?

2) I realised some of my parts of the geometry is not solid and there are some meshing errors. How do I repair it?

Can anyone help to correct it? I do have the model file in igs format.

I'm confused, how could you have looked at the tutorials and not understood how to generate a mesh? Almost all of them cover that procedure.

In terms of repairing your geometry, you either need to fix in it surface repair or if it's too heavily damaged you can wrap it.
