As mentioned in a paper "An undesired phenomenon that is often observed in hull simulations is a thin layer of air in the first cell layers at the hull surface. This air layer, which affects the shear stresses on the hull, emerges from the region where the free surface hits the hull. It is not observed in experiments, and any air layer forming in the first cell layers at the hull should therefore be removed. In STAR-CCM+ a sink term was added to the transport equation for the volume fraction. The sink term was applied in the cells closest to the hull where the volume fraction of air was below 0.3.", I met the same problem and am new to STAR-CCM+. I want to know how to add a sink term to the transport equation for the volume fraction.
TX SO MUCH!

I have the same problem too. If anyone figured it out, may write the solution?
