Does anyone know a way to display the cartesian vector for a component of a cylindrical vector?

What I would like to be able to do is show both the direction and magnitude of the tangential component of the velocity vector inside a region using a vector scene.

I'm not sure if I follow, your first question doesn't seem to apply to the second statement.

You can set any vector value to a local coordinate system in any particular direction by choosing the vector function in the vector displayer..

Sure it does. The tangential velocity field function is a scalar, but has some direction in the XYZ system. Your comment about local coordinate systems is correct, I figured it out about 10 min after posting. However, there is a bug in v10.02 which makes things a little messy.

Either way, its long since resolved. Thanks for the input.
