Hello guys,
My name is André Moreira. I am brasilian graduate student. I am a new student in CFD. I am trying learn Star Ccm+. I am trying simulate a savonius wind turbine. However, I have a lot of problems. For now I did the following steps: 1 - Imported geometry in "import surface mesh" 2 - Add some blocks and cylinders (new shape party) I know I need more than one region for this problem and I intend to use "DFBI rotation and translation" to turbine rotation. (this is the best option? To free motion). One block to "inlet" and "outlet" And two cylinders for connection between region 1 and region 2. Inside Region 2 is the turbine. The cylinders have the same dimensions and coordinates. They are larger than the turbine.(This is correct?) After this, I add a new mesh continuum and a new physics continuum. Models - Mesh continuum: Surface remesher Polyhedral mesher Prism layer Physics continuum: Gradients Three dimensional All y+ wall treatment SST (Menter) K-Omega K-Omega turbulence Reynolds-avaraged Navier-Stokes Turbulent Implicit Unsteady Constant Density Segregated Flow Gas Sometimes I have trouble generating the volumetric mesh. I would like some advices for my problem. If this steps are the best option or where I can improve. Thanks for your attention and sorry my bad English. |
