I have an assignment where I must plot the pressure over an object surface in a single plane (centre of the object). For example if I run a simulation on a square, and I want to find out what the pressure on the surface of the square is in just the centre plane, how would I do this?
Ideally I would like Star CCM+ to create the plot, or more preferably give me coordinates which I can use to plot a graph myself. Edit: I am also very new to Star CCM+ and I'm not much sure how to use it Last edited by vilius; March 25, 2015 at 11:30. Reason: added information |

Create a derived part > section > plane. Assign the part you want to look at and place it at the correct location with the correct normal vector. Then create a new scalar scene, hide the outline displayer and change the parts selection under the scalar displayer to derived parts > plane section. Depending on your view, you may have to rotate to see it.

Also, don;t forget to assign pressure as your field funciton under Scalar displayer > Scalar Field.
