I am a beginner to Star CCM+ 8.06. I have used VOF model with multiphase fluid mixture to calculate drag on a ship.
Now I want to inject air bubbles through the hull surface of the ship. I went through few forum threads which actually suggested to use Lagrangian model for the case of bubble if the mesh is not fine. I developed 2 regions: 1.Region 1: Mesh Continuum - Mesh 1 & Physics Continuum - Physics 1 (VOF Model with Multiphase fluid mixture) 2. Region 2: Mesh Continuum - Mesh 1 & Physics Continuum - Physics 2 (Lagrangian Model for air with segregated flow) My parts of the regions remain same for both the Physics continuum (VOF & segregated for Lagrangian) while I am unable to mesh the same parts in different regions. I was able to perform volume mesh for only 1 region. Is there a way to deal with both kind of physics continuum for same region so that I get drag force on ship for the bubble injection case? |
