DFBI Error "BodyHandle: no Body defined!"

Hi all
I created a DFBI Embedded Rotation with freely pitching about y-axis and given the mass and Moment of Inertia. When i click Run Star-CCM+ throw an error "BodyHandle: no Body defined!" Please help me here. Thanks in Advance Cheers Gowhar |

Hi Mohammed,
To create a DFBI motion in STAR-CCM+, you need to follow these steps: 1. Create the motion under Tools > Motions, as you did. 2. Apply the motion to a certain region, under "Region 1" > Physics Values > Motion Specification 3. Create the 6-DOF body under DFBI > 6-DOF Bodies 4. Select the boundaries that encompass the surfaces of the body, under DFBI > 6-DOF Bodies > "Body 1" > Parts 5. Specify mass, moment of inertia, etc. of the 6-DOF body I suspect you might have missed step #4 in the above list. There are a couple of good tutorials in STAR-CCM+ documentation where the above workflow is demonstrated, particularly the "boat in head waves" and the "lifeboat release" tutorials.
