I'm running a screw like horizontal axis turbine using DFBI and RRF method. The physics is 3D flow, implicit unsteady with SST k-omega turbulence model. The mesh is a surface remesher with hexahedral trimmer.
The DFBI method behaves better but that the RRF but the results is about 17% overshoot from the experimental method. I've realised that some of the velocity magnitude around the turbine and also in the domain is actually higher than the inlet velocity. I'm not an expert with CFD but I've tried improving the mesh but the high velocity region still exist. I don't know what I did wrong so any help or suggestion is welcome. Thanks |
