Hello everyone,
I am simulating a 0.5 deg slice of circular domain with Periodic BC at the sides, simple inlet and outlet. Consider the domain being composed of the "L" section. (See the Figure please) The problem is that the when I apply the periodic BC to the side walls of the model, the software considers the axis as no-slip wall!!! and I have velocity profile at the axis!!!! can you please tell me why??? |

sounds to me like it is doing the correct thing since you are appling a period rotational interface to those boundaries so there is pipe on the other side of that axis and no wall

To those future readers of this post:
Actually the line is not "Wall" it's because of the geometry of the problem which creates the velocity profile like wall BC at the center. |
