Hi,
I am simulating an cylindrical shape mixer for lagrangian DEM particles. For this I need to fill the cylinder initially with particles. I want to know how to fill cylinder with DEM particles initially. |

you just inject the particles and let them fall into place
if you read the help you will learn that some injectors are better = quicker for filling than others |

Hi ping,
I am already using lattice injector hope which is the quickest, but still it takes a long time to fill it. And also it take longer to complete time-step as no of particles increases. I want to know if we can fill initially fill a portion of the cylinder with particles. |

as i said read the help and you will learn about other injection methods eg a part injector
there are also lots of tips about how to speed up runs by adjusting particle properties while filling steve will also help you with lots of tips |
