Hi
I am modelling a hydrofoil in a cavitating flow. I know from other data that the flow cavitates. However, if I run the model in steady state (without cavitation model) and then once convergence has been achieved and I change to transient analysis and engage the cavitation model the flow does not cavitate. But if I start with the transient analysis the flow cavitates but unrealistically so. Half the domain has a fractional phase change, which is wildly incorrect. Any thoughts?? |

It sounds like your transient case isn't converging.
