Hi, I am new using star ccm and I want to calculate CL(Downforce coefficient) and Cd coefficient of the front wing of the formula 1 car. I have the model of the car in .stl but I don't know if it is necesary to make the wind tunnel model or if I can do it without it. Anothe questions is how can do the simulation only with the front wing and "eliminate" the rest of the car.
thank you very much!! |

Yes, you must include the wind tunnel.
And if you don't want to include the rest of the car, just don't. But that may not yield the same answer as the wing on the car. |
