Hi, we're trying to run a few simulations on the virtual family models that can be found here
However, we can't seem to be able to import the models into the star-ccm+ software. We've tried opening the files in SEMCAD X, and then exporting them as an .igs or .step file, but it doesn't seem to work. When importing the files, we get an error stating "Error during CAD import. Details in log file C:......." And in the log file we find "ERR LoadFromFile Error -10005 C:..." Any ideas on what the problem is, or how to import the model? However, when I open the virtual family in SEMCAD X, then add any type of geometry or figure to the model, when I export and then import into star-ccm+, the object I added is imported, and nothing else it. It also doesn't give an error. What are we doing wrong? |
