Hey all,
i try to build a battery module in star ccm+. My module consists of 9 battery cells in series and got 2 strings in parallel. The problem i have got is when i generate the regions of the battery module the interfaces of the terminal connections are not generated (Terminal connections remain in a different color) and so i can't generate my mesh. In the built-in function of the terminal connection i have to define to different straps. I don't know why there are two. I just cut my strap into two halves use each of them in the built-in function. Without the cutting (so when if define both strap parts with the same part) pierced faces are generated. Is it correct to use the same geometry for the terminal connection as for the tab connection? Anybody has an idea how i can generate the regions and interfaces for the terminal connections properly? Thank you in advance. Best |

So i could solve the problem.
The regions and interfaces for the terminal connections are not automatically generated by the built in tool "Set up terminal connections". It seems like this tool is broken. It works fine for the tab connections though. To solve the problem you have to manually create the interfaces by going to the parts from the terminal connections and pressing "Assign Parts to Regions". Then the missing regions and interfaces will be generated and the meshing isn't a problem any longer. Maybe this is helpful for someone having the same troubles i had at first. Best Kanny |
