Hi all,
I'm trying to setup a test case for a car simulation in symmetry setup. The car volume is created via a boolean in solidworks. Now, I'm using the remesher, polyhedral mesh and prism layer. The surface mesh works fine, however when I want to generate the volume mesh, it gives an error that a "region is not closed". I checked in the "repair tools" and indeed, the edges of the car are disconnected from the symmetry plane. Is there a way to connect the edges from the two surfaces manually? Because zip edges doesn't work very well and I also cannot patch the surface. Here's a screendump to make it more clear. As you can see the elements seem to connect quite well... Hope you can help. |

Hey Yur
Activate the icon for vertices, create a rectangular patch across the two edges on the two ends of the surface, of the unconnected edges, then select all the remaining unconnected edges and press 'H' on the keyboard. You can also go for surface wrapper |
