Hello every one. Hoping every one is doing fine. I am very new to star CCM+. I am trying to run a simulation using tornado vortex chamber. The details are shown in the figure. I try to build the geometry in Star CCM+ but when i repair the surface it showed me 576 pierced surface and 192 face proximity. If possible can any one help me with this problem? the radius of the cylinder is .4m and the inlet is .41m and side wall is 1.66 m.

How are you building your geometry? I don't think face proximity will be an issue, and likely pierced faces won't either, but the geometry of this seems like it shouldn't be happening. If you are creating the two sections as two seperate cylinders, make sure the two bases that are connected are deleted, and then zip the free edges together. You should have no problems.
