cider is on a distinguished road
Hi

Hope someone will be able to help me. I have to simulate the flow around a bluff body (bicycle with aerodynamic body around it) and then compare it to the wind tunnel results. I only have the CdA (drag area) value from the wind tunnel results. I therefore run a force report and then use the following equation in order to get the CdA value for my sim

F = (0.5*rho*V^2) * (CdA)

I then use the frontal area to work out a value for the drag coefficient (Cd). My sim runs correctly (has already been verified by a STAR CCM+ expert) but the value i eventually get for Cd is about half of what the wind tunnel results are.

Has anyone experienced this same problem?
