Hotmail/Outlook/Live email not working, gmail problems

All emails we send to Hotmail/Outlook/Live are currently bouncing. This means that now it is not possible to use an email address from Hotmail/Outlook/Live to register on the forums, register on CFD-Wiki or email us at CFD Online. We get your emails but we can't reply to you.
We are in contact with Microsoft to try to find the reason for this. In the mean time you must use another email address. gmail.com works, but you might have to check your spam folder there to find our emails. If you find our emails in the spam folder at gmail please just mark them as not-spam twice and thereafter our emails should hopefully arrive safely in your inbox. If you have a Hotmail/Outlook/Live email address registered on our forums you will now not be able to receive any emails from the forums. If you want to receive these emails you must change your email address in your forum profile to an address that does accept our emails. If you need our help you can email us on webmaster@cfd-online.com or send me a private message here on the forums. |

After having discussed this with Microsoft they have white-listed our IP number conditionally. Hence, our emails to hotmail/live/outlook do not bounce any more. However, we have so far only got confirmation from two hotmail users that they do receive our emails. If you are a hotmail user and recently received an email from cfd-online.com please respond to this post to confirm for others that hotmail now works. Please also send an email to webmaster@cfd-online.com to confirm that you now receive our emails.
Please also note that new users, who have not emailed with cfd-online.com before, will most likely get our first email sorted away to their junk folder. You must then find our email there and mark it as not junk. Thereafter you should hopefully receive our emails in your inbox. |

We discovered another issue with IP numbers on outgoing forum emails. They were set to go out from our DNS server IP instead of our main server and this caused problems with the white-listing.
We have corrected this now so outgoing forum emails are also sent from the IP number that has been white-listed in hotmail. If you are a hotmail user and you now receive emails from the forums (new post notifications from threads that you are subscribed to, emails about private messages etc.) please post a reply here to tell us that you are now receiving our forum emails. Please also make sure to check your junk folder and mark our forum emails as not-junk. |
