A flat wave is exactly what it sounds like - an undisturbed plane of fluid. Basically, just specify the flow direction.
A first-order wave has a periodic, sinusoidal motion, i.e., the simplest wave you can imagine. Basically, you just specify its direction and amplitude. A fifth-order wave is a much more realistic interpretation of a wave than a first-order wave. You must specify its direction and amplitude, as well as other parameters, such as the velocity of the body in the fluid. All this information and more can be found in the Help file. |
