You do not need a special license for stl and igs, just try import or import surface.
You need an additional license to import CATParts. Just ask your local dealer.

Hi,

Error message:
Error
Could not find appropriate native cad license importer

I'm trying to import an .igs file exported by Pro/E to Star-CCM+.
The error message above appears.

Can someone tell me what is going wrong?

Best Regrads,

The licenese philosophy for CAD import was changed with CCM+ 6.06 (October 2011). Now you need a CAD import license even to import IGES and STEP

It was changed back. IGES ans STEP work without an additional license now.

Yes, you are right. Beginning with 7.02 it was changed back. As we do not use this feature I wasn't aware of it.
