Your question makes no sense. Can you provide a better statement of your problem?
I use HM v10 & Star 4.10. I export a NASTRAN formatted shell (or volume) mesh. |

i have hypermesh v10 and star 4.06. i create a mesh in hypermesh and then i export it as nastran via the cfd profil - ultilities - star mesh, in the directory i can see the file .nas after that i open the star cd and import the nas file but the star can count the nodes but i can not see the model to my screen and also the geometry, i try to do the exable of hyperstury of the elbow with the star and even the elbow mesh is noe viewetable to star.... and i do not know why !!!!! since it can see the aspect ration etc why my screen has not the model??? |

On the HM side, I use the Nastran user profile & export with a custom template. I just tried the Nastran profile with the default nastran template & it worked. I also tried the CFD user profile with the CFD template & it worked.
I use a custom template to get the collectors to end up in different cell types. With the default nastran template you don't get that behavior - all collectors end up in one cell type. The CFD profile/template approach yields each collector in a different cell type - nice. On the Star4 side, I am using the Auto-Mesh classic Import/Organize CAD data panel. File type is set to NASTRAN & Nastran NPID option is set to material. Your description gives me the impression STAR is having trouble with the element portion of the NASTRAN deck. If you do a cell count, do you have any cells? Can you inspect the nastran file & see if it is formatted/written correctly? |
