Hello:
I am running Star CCm 4.02 in a network on windows XP. Everything was installed but we have not configured anything about mpich. When starting running in parallel the following message appears: "mpd needs an account to launch processes with:" and nothing more. What can I do? How to configure mpich? Thank you very much in advance |

See Star-CD FAQ, page 6, for MPICH setup for Windows.

From STAR-Launch chose Help->STAR-CD Manuals
You'll get a pdf opened - starcd_index.pdf. Click FAQ link At least that's the way it was in v.3.26 |

Here's what you do:
- register the same user and password in MPIRegister.exe, which is in: Program Files\MPICH\mpd\bin\ - when starting a parallel job, in the Command box of the Create/Open simulation dialog box, add "-collab" without the quotes to the end. That's it! |
