Are you trying to input something (a name, a file name, some sort of characters) using Chinese or Japanese characters?

Does the path to the STAR-CD installation contain non-Western characters? Do you see what I'm getting at? Something along the line is trying to deal with a character that it can't handle, whether its in the path or somewhere else.
