Hi
I am trying to export mesh from ICEM to Star CCM+. At the output tab I chose STAR-CCM+ as my "Output Solver", however I am not sure what should I choose for "Common Structural Solver". I have the following five options to choose from: NASTRAN, ANSYS, LS-Dyna, Abaqus, AUTODYN. Do you know which "Common Structural Solver" is used by Star-ccm+. Thank you Regards |

Is there a reason why we choose Abaqus? I will be running LES and acoustics simulations. Is Abaqus the choice for that sort of problems as well. Thank you

I have no experience with Abaqus, the only reason Star-CCM+ has that option is, in my opinion, because it chose to partner with them. As far as I know, Abaqus is a finite element analysis program, it doesn't do acoustics.
