hi all i am doing the damp break problem using VOF in star-CD 3.26, i want to keep track of the interface is there any way that i can capture cell coordinates where the interface is there. i have an idea of writing a user coding using posdat.f like print all the cell cordinates for each time where VOF is greater than 0 and less than 1, the difficulty i am facing here is i don't know, with what variable i will be able to access these parameters like the Scalar concentration (VOF) and the corresponding XY coordinates of the cell. please some one help in this regard.

You can use post shell create (help pscr) to put shells on an iso-surface.
Have a macro step through the pstt file. Create a new shell type for each time step. |

Dear Ramki and pauli
I am also dealing with a problem with Star-CD, about the impact of droplet on a surface. Scalar (1) =Air Scalar (2) =Water Indeed, I am going to compare of Scalar (2) at each time step and put the bigger value instead of the lower one. i have a difficulty to set these kind of subroutine. Phase source as a user coding (direct: Thermophysical model and properties—Source Terms—Scalar— User coding). I would be appreciated if could help me to that what kind of function as user coding would be suitable in this condition. Thank you very much in advance. |
