To all
Since I am very new to star-cd, please forgive me if anything i post has already been solved. The problem I am facing is that when volume mesh is generated, the error is found during assembling mesh, which shows "Cannot find ngeom file:- TMP6_S~1\procadmesh.ngeom. Dualising mesh has failed." After further looking in log file, the message in detail as follows is found "cannot find closest point for vertex 2012252 on interface (eps=3.2614e-004) vertex cannot be extruded! Cannot find ngeom file:- TMP6_S~1\procadmesh.ngeom. Dualising mesh has failed." However if i change to mesh by other configurations, it seems to be ok while meshing. But the solver did not convergence properly and results become unrealistic. It would be very kind of you if you can provide any useful information. Best regards Perchatuporn |

1. first problem might got to do with your tolerance setting. You might want to reduce it further, say eps=10e-5(-6).
2.second problem seems surprising though. If you grid is "good", the bcs or flow problem are defined correctly, then one wouldn't expect such a "big" deviation especially in qualitative terms. You might consider checking the scheme you're using, example, QUICK might not be good for tet mesh. Also, performed "check" on all your inputs variables. best, Freeman |
