my model is flow meter but velocity is very low. I know flow before passed blade is larminar and flow passed blade is turbulence. How to set property of flow. I tryed to run with turbulence but large error. Thanks

you should do this using the transition model in STAR-CCM+. STAR-CCM+ can also do MRF and sliding mesh.

Thank you, but I can done sliding mesh. I would like to know Star CD can set 1 Mat. and 2 flow types in 1 analysis.Ex: flow in long pipe, velocity is very low (assum larminar) pass object(can make turbulence). Can I set some cell solved with larminar flow and another with turbulence flow? Thanks

I think what he is trying to get at is that STAR-CCM+ would be a better option for you analysis, instead of STAR-CD.

It is possible using the subroutines. Just ask the support or search the web or try yourself. It was somewhere described how to do it. Maybe on www.adapco-online.com
