near wall faster

When using SST & hybrid wall, why does Star use 2cpus only maximum during writing the ndt or near wall cells, even when we had instructed star to run on 6 or 8cpus? Can this near wall cells identification process be made quicker in some way, to allow it run on more than 2cpus perhaps? The internal limit set by Star for what reasons?
