Hi....is there any way of setting limits in STARCD (be it velocity, pressure, turbulence, etc), as in solution limits?? In this way you are imposing the limits on the computation, and should the computed values increase beyond this...the iteration is terminated by the solver. Can these limits be set in the solver?? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is possible to do with real constants, at least from the lower side (you should contact CD-Adapco to find out which one for what). But iterations will not be terminated by the solver, it will just set the variable to the limiter value

Thanks for the reply. How do I set the limiter value in the real constant? Can you help me with this. Thanks.

Just use RCONST <constant number> <value> or go to Analysis Controls->Other Controls->Switches and Real Constants panel, then choose Real Constants tab

I wanted to know the real constant number that should be activated for setting the limits. Do you have the real constant value ?? Thanks - Mac.

For real constant numbers you should ask CD-Adpaco. As far as I remember, something was also mentioned at this foru.
