Dear all,
has anybody any experience in converting models from StarCD to Fluent or viceversa? Can ICEM-CFD be useful in this operation? Any information or suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks a lot Ale |

Hi Ale,
This should do the trick: Save your model data in coded format (file-->save as coded) ICEM should be able to read this file, then you can convert in any solver you like. I've done the same for CFX. If you have coupled cells there, you should define it new. good luck, Reza |

From Prostar, you can save the model (fluid cells and shells) as an ICEM domain file (.uns). With this file, you can then load this straight into ICEM, and export to the solver of your choice. I suggest that you put shell on your couple match faces in Prostar, or use ICEM to find the uncovered faces so that you can define your Grid Interfaces inside Fluent.
