negative volume found in es-ice mesh

Hi all,
I have been working on a gasoline engine model with es-ice.The chamber has a spherical dome with valve seats extruding from the side where negative volume cells are found at some crank angles. When the result at a certain crank angle is created with the "interpolate" button on(no information about it in the tutorial), no negative volume is found and the mesh always has a good quality. However, this mesh still fails the test of starCD. Could anybody tell me how to generate (mapping method)a mesh with extruding valve seat and eliminate the negative volume cells?Or are there any button to turn on in es-ice or starcd and activate the interpolated results? Many thanks! |

I have only read the first paragraph, but that is sufficient. You are not the first engineer with this issue.
For specialist tools like this call adapco. |
