fernds, i have solving a problem of a UAV payload. i want to know how can i determine the value of cL & cD after the solution. in Engineering-data monitor we get the value of Tx,Ty,Tz etc....but can't we directly get cL,cD,cM...etc in post-processing??

Two solutions to this one.

1. Call CD-adapco because they have received so many requests for this one down the years that some macros are available for this STAR-CD issue.

2. Migrate to STAR-CCM+ where forces, moments and the rest of it is automated and included as standard.

Regards

You can get it from user manual page 9-26. I paste the explanation over here.

Calculating aerodynamic coefficients â€" command ACOEFF. This facility works in conjunction with values of total force components at the wall, loaded via the Wall Post Data dialog. A set of wall shells, enveloping the object whose coefficients are to be calculated, must also be created using a CSET operation.
