Where is adapco?

Hello a guy told me at the user conference that 'Adapco' was named after a village in South America. I looked for it but could not find it. Is it in Uruguay or Belize, or Nicragua? Any one know where it is? Thanks.

adapco stands for
Analysis and Design Application Company It has nothing whatsoever to do with a village anywhere. |

It should be ANDEAPCO or ADAC then? the name from Venezuela seemed a better choice right now...
