I would like to learn Star-CD and Star-CCM+. Do you know if there is some place I can download its free student version? Your reply will be helpful. Regards, Pramod |

Pramod,
If you are studying at a recognized academic establishment then there is no problem in you having the code via the University. Please contact CD-adapco and arrange for this to happen. There never was a free version of STAR-CD for download from CD-adapco. However, STAR-CCM+ v1.x was available as a free download from the CD-adapco web page in return for providing your contact details. It is very likely that this freeware is no longer available. The current licensed version is STAR-CCM+ v2.06.008, which is so far ahead of the freeware version that I suspect the freeware offer has finished. Details of the adapco academic offer are available on its web page. Your details as required to get the download will be passed to a salesman for cold calling. I remember many people were honest, many but not all. I can recall salesmen calling embalmers because the details typed in said they were interested in thin film lubrication. Regards |
