How to give restart option for transiant analysis

Thank you sir for giving reply
But in transiant analysis we can't give for analysis restart option according to me it is aplicable to only steady state.(as per given user gide ) If i am wrong can you tell me how to give it. Thanking you. |

you can do a restart on transient same as on SS providing you have the pst file.

Not that simple due to bugs. Sometimes even after setting it to read from restart file, it doesn't work properly. SO, instead I used the star -dp -restart command. And even this sometimes revealed irregularities for case of transient... depends on luck I suppose.

As stated in the manual an initial field restart is not possible . However a standard restart is easily possible. If you get into errors in starting check whether you have applied the standard restart option before writing out the mdl file and problem file and then you need to restart the run.
