Hello Anybody,

I am using STAR 3.150A.044 together with Absoft 64-bit Fortran 95 9.0 EP compiler on a SUSE 10 64bit system.

I get prostar running (setenv LD_ASSUME_KERNEL 2.4.1 is set in my configuration file). But when I start to run the analysis of a test problem I get an error message and the code stops:

/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64/libm.so when searching for -lm /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /usr/lib64/libm.a when searching for -lm /usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.0.2/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -lm collect2: ld returned 1 exit status link failed.

Has anyone any suggetion?

Why are you using such an old version? If it is some sort of incompatibility with the OS you aren't going to be able to get much support on something so old....

Actually now I think about it I am not even sure there is a 64bit port of 3.150A (although I may be wrong) what does it say on the disk....

thanks for your fast respond! We are using such an old version due to compatibility of a code written around/within StarCD. As the people said to me there are a lot changees for the newer versions of StarCD, which at the moment are not compatible to our code. There is also no disc as we downloaded everything online.
