Hi all, i am a novice star cd user.Using proam i was trying to mesh my model ie)a straight air duct.I followed the steps mentioned in the tutorials and when i try to generate sub surface i see one of the wall surface touching the subsurface completely(looks like its merged together)whereas in the tutorial it is mentioned the surfaces should not be n contact.(the inlet, outlet and the other end of the wall surface has no contact with the subsurface).can anybody help??
thanks, ramesh |

Look for variable thickness option in subsurface generation.

It could also point to a problem in the original surface, if it is poor quality the subsurfacer may not be able to offset the shells correctly and will reduce the subsurface to zero
