I work with a PC with 4G RAM, 2*Xeon CPU and WinXP 64.

In most cases of aerodynamic simulation I get memory error like as maxsc2, maxcut and so on. But when I want to icrease the memory with MEMORY command there is no more memory. I want to know:

1- Is not enough 4G RAM for star-cd?

2- This kind of errors depend on what? Memory of system or swap space on HARD disk?

3- What is the solution? Please don't tell me use the MEMORY command or edit the param file. These are not real solution.

I think something is wrong in using the software.

BR

you need to run prosize, outside of prostar to change maxcut etc, and then rerun prostar.

Use Linux if your serious about cfd, don't use windows.

David,

Please delete the param.prp and param.bak of your model. Then reopen your model again. Hopefully this can help.
