Does anybody know how to install or upgrade the flexlm software.

The newest version (10.8?) is available at cd-adapco download site. I can't decipher the installation notes though.

For information I have a remote license server and my ccm+ version wants the 10.8 flexlm version.

Im stuck, so please help me..

Answer from CD-Adapco:

1) Stop the license service

2) Replace the old cdlmd.ex, lmgrd.exe, lmtools.exe and lmutil.exe with the new versions.

3) Start the license service

4) Also upgrade the server (step 2 repeated)

Yes this seems right. Be sure to read the logfile afterwards to see how everything worked out. Sometimes there can be subtle errors and it's important to make sure that it works out as you expect.

You can also use software like License Statistics to help you: http://www.x-formation.com/license_s...ics/index.html

It can give you an overview of license usage and also tell you things like when servers go down etc.

Very easy to use also which we benefitted from!
