Gambit to Star-CD

Hi all,
I'm a new user. Is it possible to do the meshing in Gambit and then export it to Star-CD. How can i do that? please help. Thanks. |

in gambit .. use solver - generic/polyflow
export mesh in *.neu format in command window use gambit,filename.neu all the best |

a hint: clear the cell types in star-cd before importing. Leave a fluid type.
another expensive hint: if you want baffles then simply don't connect the faces between volumes where the baffles are supposed to be. Star-CD will see this as a wall and not merge the vertices automatically. You can also set a boundary face in Gambit but it will only give you a boundary in star-cd and not a baffle. |
