Hello,
It is possible to reproduce the results and developed standard analysis using star-ccm+ for catalyst after-treatment systems using Thiele modulus, effectiveness factor and Biot number. We have upgraded from star-cd to starccm+ and used field functions + auto export for the FEA analysis. We are cracking on! See the following links for the definitions: http://jbrwww.che.wisc.edu/home/jbra...n/figures.html http://www.rpi.edu/dept/chem-eng/Bio...nt_mt_main.htm http://jbrwww.che.wisc.edu/home/jbra...numerical.html We think of applying the analysis also to biochemical systems like in the following example: http://www.engin.umich.edu/~cre/cour...elve/exam2.htm Has anyone used star-ccm+ for biochemical systems? Thank you Gunter |
