how to transfer star.plot to "*.gif" pics ?

Here I do the tutorial 2.2 plotting the particle tracks. In the screen,we can use the inner-built function to plot the particle tracks.But now I want to do the " *.gif " pic to show to my customers.So how can I transfer the inner-built particle tracks animation to the " *.gif " pics. just to show the results to my customers easily. Thank you.

well, this one of the weak points of prostar.
in the particle track gui you have to specify start and end time of the particles to be displayed. you have to choose the appropriate time steps for your animations, can be done in loop (e.g. in a macro)for each step you have to write a gif file. finally you use third-party tools (gif-animator, some a free available) to generate a movie. I did it a couple of times. gets great presentation material, but takes too much time. fieldview or ensight would be a much better choice. good luck |
