databases locking up

I am generating a mesh through some scripts and the databases lock up about half the time. I have messed with changing the cell length when meshing with tets but can't seem to fix the problem. What is causing this to happen and how can I avoid it. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

As ammbatch is working on the database it locks it up to stop any other processes accessing it, just delete the lock file and it should be ok.

I know that deleting the lock files allows you access to the databases again but for what I'm doing, I need to prevent them from locking up. Is there something I can modify in the meshing parameters that would help with this?

hmmmm I don't know but I doubt it, why do you want to access the dbase whilst it is being worked on?

I am running starCD commands from .csh scripts. If I copy those same commands into the i/o window while I have starCD open, they work. When I try to run it from the scripts in a terminal window, starCD crashes and locks the databases about half the time. I have no idea what is going on but I need to run the commands from the scripts.

Are you running ammbatch scripts or star-cd scripts? If the later then you want to run the former...
