I am trying to set up the model and the mesh in STAR-Design and then to import it in STAR-CCM+, using the .ngeom file format. As I want to model heat transfer between a solid and a fluid, I assigned the appropriate domains in STAR-Design. But when importing the mesh in STAR-CCM+ it only recognizes one fluid region. Therefore my questions are - How must two domains, solid and fluid, in STAR-Design created to be recognized by STAR-CCM+ to be two different regions? Or must the fluid region in STAR-CCM+ be splitted after the importing?
Many thanks! |

After you've set up the model, in the menu bar click on:
Solver --> Solver Preprocessing This will create a .sim file for STAR-CCM+. Save your STAR-Design model and then the .sim file will be moved to a subdirectory (same name as your STAR-Design model name). It will be called solverun.sim. Open that in STAR-CCM+ and everything should be all set. |
