It defaults all dimensions in meters for the coordinates (x,y,z) in STAR-CD. How can I do in STAR-CD if I want to convert the dimensions into millimeters? What is the command in STAR-CD?

Hi,

Give command GEOM and see what it asks you to enter. In your case you need 0.001 as gscale.

you can save the geometry file by using a scal factor of 0.001 and during run you can give the option in mm

Thanks. During run I can give the option in mm. Do you mean this command "star -mm -dp", -mm is the option?

Type "star -h". It gives all the allowable options. There is no -mm listed. Type "star -mm". Its says mm is not a supported option. Do you read anything at all before diving in?

The actual data that star uses MUST be in meters. You can either scale your entire model to meters with the VSCALE command in prostar or when you write the geometry data out to STAR you can scale it then. Type HELP, GEOM or HELP, VSCALE.
