Hello erverybody, I have a question regarding Torque converter analysis. I have taken one sector from each of 3 components (Impeller, reactor &turbine). I have applied Inlet & Pressure boundary conditions at each component ends. And coupled these boundaries by regions. I tried to solve with explicit Multiple frames. For some reason it is giving Error #099. Please read following messege what I see every time I try to give a run.
*** ERROR #099 *** TANGENTIAL AREA > .005% FOR CELL 8960 FACE 2 TANGENTIAL AREA, TOTAL AREA, PERCENTAGE: -8.518357E-10 1.206000E-05 -7.063312E-03 It would be great, if someone could help me with this matter. thanks sham |

In explicit multiple frames, the coupling boundaries should not have area component in the tangential direrction. In your case, it seems not too bad.
You can either correct your boundary mesh a little bit to make sure there is no tangential area or simply set Real Constant 68 to 1 to ignore the area check. |
